Welcome to Swish, a hair salon located in the quaint Old Village of Mt. Pleasant.
My hair stylist and colorist for the past few years, Ronnie, is now co-owner of Swish, with business partner Justin Truman. Justin designed the cool, open salon to maximize space and create a place of inspiration. Ronnie and Justin are accompanied by stylist Alicia, creating the most intimate environment for a salon.
Starting a business is no easy feat, yet Ronnie appears fearless as he continues in his endeavor. I thoroughly enjoyed my chat with Ronnie this morning, as he shared the best details of his new workspace.
I find it intriguing that Ronnie relocated his work, and started a business outside the bustling city of downtown Charleston. He chose the move to Mt. Pleasant’s Old Village for the sense of community, which he says has been very welcoming. Ronnie feels that the environment is kind and unpretentious. (and I agree) Ronnie desires to become a part of the community as a successful salon and then be able to return the favor of comfort and hospitality by giving back, in some way, to his community.
Ronnie is constantly aiming to perfect the art of coloring- he wants clients to leave with soft, tousled hair that looks naturally refreshed.
” I like for my client’s to look effortlessly beautiful- but not overdone- by using the best tools offered.” – Ronnie on his artistic goals.
I love visiting Ronnie, and appreciating his work. Ronnie consistently creates a vision I have for my hair and turns it into a reality. Throughout the next few days, I will be taking over Swish’s instagram account! So be sure to check out #beeinthesalon
